Who we are
The controller of personal data on this site is the independent publisher based in India who trades as MyRealSalary. Contact: hello@myrealsalary.com. If you need our legal name and postal address, for example to exercise your rights or make a complaint, email us and we will give them to you.
The calculator
The figures you type into the calculators are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
What we collect
- Technical data: when you visit, our host Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser and device details to deliver and protect the site.
- Statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies and gives us aggregate figures only.
- Emails: if you email us, we receive your email address and message.
- Advertising data: none yet. Once adverts are switched on, Google and its partners will use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads if you agree in our consent message.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Running and securing the site and site statistics: our legitimate interests in providing a working, secure site.
- Personalised ads, and non-personalised ads, which can still use cookies to limit how often an ad is shown and to measure ads: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Limited ads, which use cookies or local storage only to detect invalid traffic and fraud: legitimate interests.
- Replying to emails: our legitimate interests in answering you.
Advertising
At the time of writing, adverts are not yet switched on. This section describes how they will work, and we will update this notice when they start.
This site will use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland we ask for your choice through Google's consent message, where "Do not consent" is as easy as "Consent". You can change your choice at any time with "Privacy settings" at the bottom of every page.

Who receives data
Cloudflare (hosting, security, statistics and email forwarding), Google (advertising once switched on, and email if you write to us) and, where you consent, the advertising partners listed in Google's consent message.
International transfers
We are based in India, and Cloudflare and Google process data in the United States and other countries. Those providers use contractual safeguards for international transfers, as described in their own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Emails: up to 12 months after the conversation ends, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint. Statistics: aggregate figures only. Cloudflare and Google keep data as described in their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us; we will reply within one month. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commission (the ICO) at ico.org.uk, or in the EEA to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and change the date at the top.
